1. Introduction
Welcome to AmpSplit, the lightweight and driver-free solution for sending any audio source to one or multiple output devices instantly. Whether you're a bass shaker user looking to feel every rumble in your favorite game, or you simply need your audio mirrored to multiple outputs for work or entertainment, AmpSplit makes it simple.
This manual will guide you through installation, setup, and usage, ensuring you get the most out of AmpSplit.
2. System Requirements
- Operating System: Windows 10 or Windows 11 (64-bit)
- Audio Devices: Any device recognized by Windows Sound (headphones, speakers, bass shakers, USB audio cards, etc.)
- Permissions: Administrator privileges for installation
3. Key Features

4. Installation
- Download AmpSplit: Get the latest version from AmpSplit.com.
- Run the installer: Follow the on-screen instructions.
- Launch AmpSplit: After installation, you'll find the app in your Start Menu or system tray.
- (Optional)Allow startup with Windows: You can enable this in AmpSplit’s settings.
5. Interface Overview
- Launch with Windows: AmpSplit will launch automatically when you start Windows.
- Start in Tray: Keep AmpSplit running in the background.
- Minimize on close: When clicking X to exit the app, it will minimize and not exit
- Auto start redirection: If enabled, audio redirection begins automatically.
- Source Device: The main audio device you want to mirror from (e.g., game audio).
- Latency: Decide the quality of the streaming. Lower = less latency = higher CPU, and Higher = more latency = less CPU.
Target Devices: The devices you want to send the audio to (e.g., speakers, bass shakers, headphones). - Volume Control: Adjust output levels for each target device individually.
- Start/Stop: Start or Stop audio redirecting.
6. Basic Setup
- Select a Source Device: From the dropdown menu, choose your main audio output.
- Select Target Devices: Check the boxes next to one or multiple devices where you want the audio mirrored.
- Click "Start Redirecting": Your audio will now be sent to all selected devices instantly.
- Adjust Volumes: Set the desired output level for each target device.
7. Troubleshooting
I still get demo mode behaviour after activating:
- Restart AmpSplit to solve this.
No sound on target device:
- Ensure the target device is powered on and set up in Windows Sound Settings.
- Confirm Windows playback volume is not muted in Windows sound settings for that device
- Restart AmpSplit and try again.
App doesn’t launch:
- Run AmpSplit as Administrator once, then relaunch.
8. Updates
Check AmpSplit.com for the latest version. Updates may include performance improvements, bug fixes, and new features. Once there is a new version, you’ll find a red button “Update” under the “About” tab in the AmpSplit app.
